Junior Accountant

Pacific Northwest Tax Service offers tax preparation, payroll and accounting services to  a broad range of individual and business clientele. We are a small, but growing family-owned business that offers employees a fast-paced, energetic work enviroment.  We are currently accepting applications for the position of Junior Accountant.

The Junior Accountant position will be staffed from our main office on NW Cornell Rd., however travel to our other office locations and to the business offices of our clientele may be required as need arises. Accounting credentials and strong computer skills are required for this position. We are placing high priority on finding a personality that is the right fit for this small family-owned business.  Suitable applicants should possess the following skills and qualities:

Although the focus will be bookkeeping and accounting work, the position will involve other non-accounting duties.  Suitable applicants must be flexible and willing to adapt to the differing workloads and demands shared by all other employees in this small company.

Pacific Northwest Tax Service operates a tax school offering classroom and correspondence courses.  Our 80-Hour Basic Tax Course offers students one of the best tax education programs in Oregon.  Our Junior Accountant will be expected to successfully complete our 80-Hour Basic Tax Course and will participate with other employees in administering and supporting the school and its students.

Health insurance benefits are available after three months of employment.  We offer a week of paid vacation following one year of employment.  A reliable car is necessary.  You will be required to show a valid drivers license as well as auto liability insurance.  Travel with your own car will be reimbursed.
