Oregon Licensed Tax Consultant
IRS Enrolled Agent
With both parents, his brother and his grandfather fully immersed in the tax and accounting profession, Jordan seemed destined to join the industry. Since passing the Oregon Licensed Tax Preparer Exam in 2022, his drive to learn has led him to take on challenging projects that intimidate tax professionals with many years' more experience. He has prepared an expansive array of personal income tax returns, including prior year amended returns, returns having foreign income, and returns needing Form 3115 to change the accounting method.
While still in high school, he studied economics and began investing in both foreign and domestic financial derivatives. He enjoys options trading, capitalizing on market fluctuations with both short-selling and long positions, using a configuration of bearish and bullish strategies. His paramount interests are in Energy, Manufacturing and Materials, Resources, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Real-Estate and more. He understands the necessity of industrials and the complexity of processes like petroleum’s up, down, and mid streaming.
Jordan outperformed many of his peers by passing Oregon’s Licensed Tax Consultant Exam and the Internal Revenue Service’s Enrolled Agent Exam within two years of starting his career as an income tax professional. His sites are now set towards passing the Tax-Court Exam for Non-Attorneys within five years by leveraging his independent and self-directed learning.
Jordan adores his employment at Pacific Northwest Tax Service and is always willing to work as long as needed, considering it to be a second home. He likes to spend his limited spare time with family and friends, and to travel and spend time in nature. In 2023 he threw his hat into the political arena by registering to run as a Democratic candidate for Oregon House District 31. He now spends much of his free time meeting with constituents, business and community leaders, and researching matters of political importance.
