While attending Portland State University as an accounting major in 1987, Nancy began working for, and eventually took ownership of, an electrostatic painting company, where her accounting knowledge was applied to running the financial and management side of her own business.

Nancy remained in the painting industry for 19 years, through 2008, when she decided to return to the accounting profession by attending Pacific Northwest Tax School's Basic Tax Course. Nancy successfully completed the Basic Tax Course as a top-performing student, and joined Pacific Northwest Tax Service's team of tax professionals that same year. 

Since 2008, Nancy has served hundreds of tax clients, and played a vital role in the continued development and delivery of content to thousands of tax professionals who complete Pacific Northwest Tax School's educational programs every year. In 2013, Nancy passed Oregon's rigorous tax consultant exam and was rewarded with the credential of Licensed Tax Consultant.

Nancy was born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon, and now resides in Hillsboro, with her husband and two children.  She is an avid reader, who enjoys taking long walks with her two dogs, and summer camping trips with her family.
