Licensed Tax Preparer
Sherry worked in the food manufacturing and baking industry for 30 years. During that time, she held a variety of positions, including 18-plus years in quality and food safety roles.
When the manufacturing facility closed after 25 years, Sherry took a position managing a group of outsourced employees in the quality assurance department of another large bakery manufacturer. That company restructured their quality department after a few years, and Sherry moved on to pursue other opportunities.
Contemplating a complete change in careers, Sherry decided to move into another field of interest, and spent a season volunteering with the VITA Tax Aid program. After some training preparing taxes, she realized she would like to make this her second career path. Shifting her focus from food safety laws and implementation to tax law and application, Sherry enrolled in the 80-hour Basic Tax Course, offered by Pacific Northwest Tax School. After successfully completing the course, and passing the Oregon Tax Board Exam, Sherry joined Pacific Northwest Tax Service. She enjoys returning every tax season to work with us.
During the rest of the year, she spends time as a caretaker for her grandson. When opportunity allows, she enjoys traveling, camping, and gardening.
