Soph was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where they grew up immersed in the west coast art scene. Prior to selling paintings with their father at a young age, Soph had no understanding of the world of taxes. Taxes and owning a small business seemed complex until they enrolled in the Pacific Northwest Tax school in July 2024. After hours of studying and learning quickly, Soph completed the course in a short amount of time. Soph then took the Licensed Tax Preparer exam in September and passed with plans to study and take the License Tax Consultant exam in the near future.   

Soph started with PNW Tax in the summer of 2024 and has been closely studying and gaining experience under other tax preparers in the office. In the off season, they maintain this very website.

In their free time, Soph writes and illustrates comics, reads articles about scientific topics that aren’t common knowledge, and does DIY projects around the house.
